Hands & Chit Chat
Jack laughed again. “Hardly. I knew Randy wouldn’t let me quit.”
“You’re crazy. You know that?”
Jack chuckled “Sometimes you have to be in order to be a journalist.” Jack took Anna’s hand again & pulled her in a different direction.
“Just where are you taking me?” Anna asked & she tried to pull her hand free of Jack’s.
“Shopping,” he grinned & he tightened his grip on her hand.
“What are you talking about?” Anna replied as she still tugged away from his hand.
“I’m talking about you looking like a hobo, no offense. I’m going to get you some new clothes.”
Anna rolled her eyes. “I don’t need new clothes. I’ve got plenty of decent shirts at the hotel and jeans too,” she protested.
“I don’t believe you.” Jack replied.
“Why ever not?” Anna looked up at him confused.
“If you had something better to wear, then you would’ve worn it today.” Jack said without looking at her. When Anna didn’t say anything, Jack looked down and chuckled at the way her eyebrows had pulled together in a pout.
“Fine.” she said.
