Superman
Jack smiled as he yet again tugged on her hand.
“Which store are we going to anyway?”
“Old Navy.”
“Oh. No we can’t go there.” Anna stopped walking and pulled her hand back.
“Why not?” Jack frowned.
“I don’t have enough money to shop there! Look,” she pulled the 200 dollars out of her pocket, “I only have 200 bucks and I’ve gotta save that for groceries and for my hotel ro-”
Jack interuppted her by laughing. “Oh please Anna put that money away. I’m paying for you clothes.” he chuckled some more.
Anna’s eyebrows creased back into a pout. “I don’t think so.”
“Give me one good reason not to.” he grinned.
“You already got me a job and almost risked yours in the process. Aren’t you done being superman for the day?”
Jack grinned and reached for Anna’s hand taking it and pulling her down the sidewalk again. “If I’m superman, then you’re Lois Lane, and it’s my job to take care of you.”
“I’m not some damsel in distress,” Anna remarked.
“That’s because I’m here,” Jack grinned again.
