Jake sat down in the seat next to us. Oh dear god. He was right there!

“So, Maria…..,” he said sweetly. I knew there were sparks practically flaming between them. I didn’t have a chance.
“Do you remember the other day? When we went bike riding with Nicole? Wasn’t that just so fun?” She went bike riding with Nicole? Where was I? When was this? Oh, what ever! I probably would of made a fool of myself in front of Jake.
“Yeah, I never knew you could ride a bike!” he said. I giggled and he looked over at me.
“Who’s that?” asked Jake. He didn’t even know my name.
“Oh, her.”
“Hi,” said Jake. His whole face lit up as I just sat there. Frozen.
“Her name’s Jacqueline. Anyway, back to the subject,”.

“Hi,” I said softly. I had never expected this.
