Three hours later, Vanessa reaches central Nebraska. The traffic ebbs and flows. Some spots it is heavy others it’s sparse. She enjoys the change. It makes it easy to navigate, without tension. Vanessa is really enjoying this voyage. It’s a time to think and reflect. A time to evaluate life as a whole. Also she is planning her life that she is about to start. Wyoming will no longer be her destination. More like a stop along the way. This is her chance to see the other half of the country, the half that she imagines in her mind.

Vanessa looks down at her nav system.. Wyoming is in sight. Only 70 miles north and she will see the border. A rush of excitement washes over her. She feels she is reaching another milestone in her journey.

After getting her way closer toward western Nebraska she thinks about California. She imagines the palm trees and the sunny weather. Dreams of the Malibu beach enter her mind. That is where she wants to end up. She has selected her destination, southern California.
