On The Road Again
Vanessa picks up a magazine and thumbs through it. All these pictures, of snow capped mountains and huge lakes. It made her realize, that she was far away from Ohio. And for that she felt glad. This was her time to explore and to experience life.
The display of shot glasses and other glass items catches her fancy. Each one is picked up and inspected. Studied for thier unique character and beauty. Some of them are etched, and so they sparkle under the bright light.
Vanessa resists the urge to spend money in the store. She walks out of the store, feeling proud of herself. She did not spend a dime in that store, on touristy stuff. She is smarter than that.
Becoming bored of the rest stop, she leaves. As she steps outside she is greeted by the heat of mid-day sun. She begins the journey to her car. She locates it and gets in. Within minutes, she is back on the highway.
