I had to interrupt this. It was my civic duty. Amanda was on a bed, kissing the hottest guy either of us had ever seen. And Sam and I had to witness it.
“Uh, guys?” I put in, “I know neither of you want to think about this, but there is another person who is still in the picture.”
“Who?” Mandy demanded.
“Nick,” I answered, “The kid you were in love with two hours ago.”
Amanda’s eyes got wide. “Oh my gosh. Nick. Oh my gosh..” a tear rolled down her cheek. “This is gonna hurt him, isn’t it?”
“No duh,” I replied, turning to Charlie. “And what about Kat?” I scrutinized him.
“What about her?” he responded.
“Charlie. You were making out with her the day you met her. You were practically attached to her side!” I yelled.
“Seriously, kid,” Sam added, “You ruined two girl’s chances to be extremely happy. Kat just wanted a hot guy for a while. And Mandy needs a forever. You took this all away!”
