Amanda and I were both EXTREMELY confused.
“Why couldn’t Charlie be a forever?” Amanda inquired.
Sam sighed. “Because, Amanda, he is going to live forever. And stay 16 forever. You.. you just aren’t.”
Mandy teared up again as she turned back to Charlie.
“But- but- I want to stay with youuu!” she wailed. He pulled her to his chest, where she seemed to melt in perfectly.
“I know, love, I know,” Charlie cooed, “But you at least have to have the chance to grow up.” He turned to his sister, “You’re right Sam.. I did ruin their lives.. it’s just.. I love Amanda.. I didn’t want her to spend her life being followed around by that overprotective bushkid. And Kat-”
“You didn’t hurt Kat that badly,” Sam interrupted, “She’ll get over it, and pretty soon probably. This is going to take a lifetime for Amanda. Good job, stupid.” She scoffed.
Charlie stroked Amanda’s hair. “It’s gonna be okay, baby. We’ll figure something out.” He soothed. Amanda’s tears began to darken his light blue tee.
“Promise?” She asked.
