The Aftermath (Out of Order)
As soon as the two men jumped into the car it screeched off. The driver turned round to look at them. “That was quick, and I heard a second shot and some screaming, anything I should know about?”
Andy looked nonchalant. “Only that me and Jim just scored us the score of the century. Keep your eyes on the road Geoff”
“No, only that Andy just shot a girl, I still don’t know why, I just ran when he did, this better be good Andy.”
“Look at this my friend.” Andy pulled out a ring from his pocket, he wiped off some blood and held it up. “Pretty ain’t it?”
“You don’t know anything about rings, and neither do we, what makes you think that it’s even worth that much?”
“I don’t know rings, but I do know people. I know it was worth her life because she had a gun in her face and she ran, she thought it was worth her life and I trust her judgment. First thing tomorrow, we get this valued. Straight after that, we buy a house in the Caribbean”
“If you’re wrong then…”
“I’m not wrong, trust me.”
