The Sun Was Shining

In Lewis Carroll’s classic poem “The Walrus and the Carpenterâ€?, he said “The sun was shining on the sea, Shining with all his might; He did his very best to make The billows smooth and bright— And this was odd, because it was The middle of the night.â€? I find that this correctly describes September 11, 2001.
It was a Tuesday, just a regular Tuesday. There was nothing particularly special about it, at least not at first. “The Sun was shining on the sea, shining with all his might…â€? It didn’t seem like anything was wrong; the sun was shining making everything appear problem less. Then, disaster struck. Dozens of my classmates began to leave. My elementary school principal, told me my mother had arrived to take me home. Nothing is wrong, I thought, The sun is shining with all his might! Little did I know, this statement was very naïve.
