Outta My Head
“So I talked to Tyler yesterday,” Mallory told me casually.
It was another Saturday morning after staying up way too late the night before like every Friday night at Mallory’s house and it had been a week since I had talked to Mitch about Josh.
I had almost forgotten about it until Mallory said Tyler’s name. I don’t know why that made me think of it, but it did.
“Yeah?” I prompted her to continue.
“He asked where you were,” Mallory said.
I looked up from my cereal, “Really?” I was part shocked and part careless. I never thought that the obsessive side of me could ever just let something about Tyler Pennington just go.
“Yeah, actually, he told me he was going to the movies tonight and that we should join him,” Mallory informed.
“Huh, and who is he bringing for you?” I asked, amused.
“Brad Logan,” Mallory answered, quite pleased with herself.
“Interesting,” I said.
“Why aren’t you more excited?” Mallory inquired.
I shrugged, “I’m just not in my head right now.”
I stared straight ahead and zoned out.
