Battle
I was standing in front of my mirror in my outfit for the night.
After cocking my head back and forth from right to left, I finally let out a loud sigh, “No! It’s not right!” I said loudly to myself.
But it was too late. Mallory and her mom were here to pick me up to go to the movies. I grabbed my purse and rushed out the door so as to not keep them waiting.
“So what movie do you wanna see?” Tyler asked us.
“I really wanna see What Happens in Vegas,” Mallory said.
“Oh, yeah, me, too,” I added.
Tyler and Brad then bought two tickets each.
We bought a medium popcorn, a bottled water, three sodas, and two bags of candy and went into the theater to wait for the movie to begin.
I was sitting next to Tyler silently while Mallory and Brad yapped and giggled.
“So…” Tyler broke the extremely awkward silence.
But when I turned to him, I realized that I didn’t want to talk to him anymore.
I don’t think it’s that I didn’t like him anymore, but I was battling other feelings for him.
