Jake's admission; Liam's Realization

“Are you fucking nuts?” Liam shouted.
“I know, I realize this all sounds crazy,” I affirmed, “But i’ve been telling myself that this can only be a dream. But dreaming while walking to class?” I shot my hands up in defeat.
Liam’s face had gotten paler, if that was, at all, possible.
These dreams had happened before.
His father’s death; a car crash, August 20th,2005 – clipped by a drunk driver. I’d seen it all the year before.
My mother’s cancer; diagnosed June 3rd of ‘89. I dreamt the whole thing.
Heather’s car accident after a house party. She’d died in my dream. I had begged her to let me drive her home. When she refused, I stole her keys and only Liam’s calm reassurance that he’d drive back with her to pick up her car made her agree. It had taken a month to earn her forgiveness. But she was alive, and remained the only one of my dark dreams to go unrealized.
Liam and I had called it cosmic coincidence.
Something in his face had changed.
He’d begun to believe.
Someone was going to die.
