Family

The rain began to fall, Spike pulls into the parking lot at 235 Lexington Ave. He steps out of the car and takes a final puff of his cigar before pressing it out on his hand. He walked to the door and pulled it open. The warm air and familar smell of candles sickend him as he stepped in. “Spike!!!” Jen yelled in greeting before rushing up to hug him. “Look at you you’re soaked!” she added. Spike liked the rain made his streaked hair fall flat over his eyes. “It’s fine little sis…where’s Dad and Chris?” Spike asked. “Both still in bed.” She answered rolling her eyes. “I’ll get a towel.” she said leaving the room. Suddenly a hand grabbed Spike’s shoulder spinning him around. “Happy birthday little bro!” Chris yelled before giving him a punch. “You seem surprised to see me dude.” he said. “Yeah…I am.” Spike answered.
