Hey Me, It's You 8
It was the middle of the night when my phone went off, once again. I took it and went outside onto Brianna’s deck.
“Hello?” I whispered.
“Go home,”.
“What? It’s one in the morning! The sun hasn’t even come up yet!”
“Go home!”
“No! What? Why!”
“Just go home, your family needs you!”
“They do?”
“Yes! Now, go!”
“I live three miles away, I’m not running!” The line went dead and Brianna came out in her pajamas.
“What are you doing Lily?”
“I need to get home.”
“Why now?”
“Because my family needs me now. Don’t ask why just please drive me home!”
We pulled up in my driveway and Brianna and I got out of the car. Everything looked fine. Well, until we got to the backyard. What had happened? Police cars were parked everywhere and my mother was hysterical. My father was holding my little brother. This looked like a disaster. I ran up to my mother.
“Mom!”
“Honey!” she sad through her tears.
“What happened?”
