Lila lay in the forest, her thick brown hair spread across the grass behind her as she stared up through a cover of emerald leaves, the sky only a few patches of brilliant red-gold.Around her, the tall grasses whispered as they gently slipped past each other, like women gossiping at a party.
Next to her, making an indent in the grass, lay a notebook full of stories. It was her favorite kind-a huge 5-Star,full of vast pages with miniscule blue veins running through them.
She came here only to write. It seemed to fill her soul with the world…here, she never felt weak.It made all of her problems seem so…petty. All she could hear were the leaves of the trees shuffling in the wind and the slow movement of grasses, scraping across each other like a bow against violin strings.
She sat up,her cerulean T-shirt sliding up her back, as she watched an amber deer gallop through, the grasses swaying around its feet. The grasses rolled gently, like a wave slowly approaching the beach, making her feel smaller than ever.
