Urania Speaks

“What do you mean?” Mina asked, staring up into the compassionate face of Calliope.

“Since the beginning of time, stories have been told of the young woman who would come to us, the only person able to reconcile the Titans and the Olympians. The only girl strong enough to free the Titans once again, so that all the world could have the power of the Titans and the Olympians combined,” Calliope explained, reaching down gently to raise Mina’s chin. “And you, dear child, are this woman,” she said with finality, staring into Mina’s eyes.

“No, I’m not. I’m only Mina. I’m not important. I can’t be,” Mina said, pulling her face away from Calliope’s gentle grasp, and turning to stare, arms crossed, at the lush grass.

“Yes, you are,” said Urania, her eyes still seeking the heavens. “For I can read the stars, and they have long foretold of this child. They have oft described her to me…you are she. There can be no other.”
