Into The Shurb
Pearl and I were sitting on our beach sun bathing. We had gotten tired while jet-skiing and decided to stop on the beach of an island we were near.
“Haha, we don’t even know where we are, Dawn.” Pearl laughed.
“Sure we do!” I countered. “We are on an island which is on my Aunt’s lake. Dur!”
Pearl started cracking up. “Hey, why don’t we explore!!”
“Because! We can’t just leave the jet skis. And we don’t even know how big this island is, what if we get lost??” I asked.
“Oh you worry to much! How big coud this island be? I mean, we’ve been all around this lake on the jet skies!” Pearl answered already getting up and ready to head off into the shrub behind us. So I shurged and we walked off into the shrub.
We had gone very far before we began hearing things.
“What was that?” Pearl asked suddenly.
“Nothing, I didn’t hear it.” I answered. “Oh wait.. I heard it now.”
“We should go back.” Pearl said shakely.
“Yeah but which way is ‘back’?” I said looking around.
