I like how the narrative gives just enough details to make you want to know more about the futuristic setting and the character.

Argh, not sure why it went up twice. Ficlets runs really slowly for me these days, some pages take forever to load up. I must have hit refresh at some point or something.

Nice use of alliteration throughout the piece. Interesting juxtaposition to have those deliberately ordered words in such a discordant scene.
