The Everlasting Moment [Hauntingly Beautiful Challenge]

I was knee deep in snow, and innumerable amounts of glittering flakes cascaded around me, dropping to the ground and coating it in another layer of soft snow.

I was still waiting, but it was definitely worth it.

The snow dusted bushes moved, and I tensed.

A male came out first; his amber eyes stared at me intently as he spotted me. His ears swiveled forth, and I told my screaming muscles to stay still.

The night was bright, and the moon was glinting off of the new fallen snow; I could see his fur perfectly – silver – I noted, with a small tint of brown on the edge of each hair, giving him a coppery sheen in the eerily lit landscape.

His burning irises were still fixed on me, never moving away from my face.
There was a small rip in the quiet of the clearing; a howl, from a distant clan, perhaps.

Giving me another razing stare, he turned around and promptly lifted his head and uttered a howl to the star sequined sky.

Snap!

My camera worked, and I smiled.

Now the moment would last forever.
