Me and JB 142
Sitting in the emergency room was loads of fun. No, not really. The highlights magazines were just out of my league and the overpriced candy from the vending machine was stale. And watching an ambulance pull up every ten minutes was like watching House. I was never going to watch that show again. Did I mention that people wanted to interview me as I sat there in tears. Couldn’t they tell that I was probably in just about the same amount or pain as Nick was? Couldn’t they see I felt like a jerk for fighting with Nick? Couldn’t they tell I just wanted to be LEFT ALONE ? Joe and Katie had run home to get their stuff. We were probably going to spend the night. I sat there, about to start sobbing when a nurse came out.
“Are you Jessica?” she asked. I nodded as I stood up.
“Can I go see him? Is he okay?” I asked. She knew I was talking about Nick.
“He’s alright, but, he really shouldn’t have any visitors,”. I had to see him.
“Are you sure I can’t go see him?”
“Well…..”.
“Please?”
“Okay, follow me,”.
