Peripheral Evil: Part 3, Google

Sully finally got away from the family around midnight, after- all it was movie night, and clicked on the Google icon. His fingers danced lightly on the keys as he thought of different word combinations to type in.

Taking a deep breath, he typed quickly and crossed his fingers, “peripheral visions.” He added the s at the end hoping to come up with results from something other than wiki or encyclopedic ramblings.

He grumbled as the results were returned in .20 seconds over 1.6 million, the first pages being nothing of use to him.

Finally something caught his eye. After almost an hour of scanning, and a few more search terms added, he read the description out loud, “I grew up seeing them out of the corners of my eyes. We all do, we just don’t acknowledge them.

He felt the hair stand on the back of his neck. Gooseflesh erupted on his arms. Sully’s left ring finger hovered over the tab key and right index on the mouse button.

The cursor on the screen moved and Sully clicked the link.
