Just sucks, doesn’t it? I feel sorry for the poor couple. XD Managing to get away once in a while, only to have rain come crashing down. Rain + sand = mud! O_O Thanks for entering! : )
Well, it does rain quite often in Hawaii, but usually for brief periods of time depending on where you are. You kind of have to expect it when you’re there. You slip between past and present tense a lot in this story. I think if you straightened that out you’d have a much better piece.
@Ana: First, snow is more likely than rain to get you out of school. Second, it’s fun to play in. Third, it’s so darned relaxing. I love snow! I love wrapping up in a blanket next to the fire, reading a book while snow falls softly to the ground outside the window. Rain, on the other hand, makes everything a little bit drearier.
good story, but in the 5th to last sentence the world “is” is in present tense, and should be changed to was :) @ Ana Never seen snow?!? You need to put that on your ‘bucket’ list @ TBS I agree with you about snow, but I love warm summer afternoon rain, where you can run around and splash in the puddles.
