2ndly…very well done, the miss spelling (or whatever that form of writing is called) did amazing job to give a slow motion effect to the events. bravo!

Ok first let me say that this is one of the best stories i have ever read. Not on ficlets i mean ever, it is amazing. i mean brilliant. the words the letters the spelling you wield them like a zanpakto. second if you answer invisibilties question and reviel the true mind of the auther and it differs from what i took from it i will be crushed. so please don’t answer that.

An honestly brilliant piece. One of the few I’ve sat and re-read over again.

The language in this is incredible. The purposeful misspelling is a technique I’ve never seen used before, and the crazy thing about this is that not only is is super creative but it tells a lesson in it, too. If I could give you ten stars, I would.

And, by the way, telling me I’ve wield words like a zanpakto is probably the coolest compliment I’ve gotten…most likely because I don’t know what a zanpakto is. But it sounds pretty cool to…you know, wield.

i think the misspellings were a fabulous idea;; they make the reader read over it again and make sure they know what the word is, giving it a slow-mo effect.

Lets nit blame Stovo if Joe re enacts this ficlet.. ok it was good, the garbled thoughts of the rider… not to be mean, you’ve written hundreds far better.. enjoyed the slo mo—matrix feel of the flow.

When I first started reading this I thought, “This is not Stovo’s writing. There are too many mistakes.” Then I realized they were purposeful mistakes. And I said to myself, “That little… GENIUS !!” :D Wonderful job.

I keep finding myself coming back to this. I must have read it ten times, which is rare for me. I’ve come to appreciate the sense of fear and uncertainty the misspelled words create in the piece. Incredibly inventive use of language. Definitely one of the most creatively unique ficlets I’ve read.

Whoa, I didn’t get it at first. I love how the rider’s confidence fades so slowly but in reality it only takes a few seconds.
Simply mind-boggling.

MAN i am still blown away i just had one of my buddies over and i had to show him this story, a zanpakto(japanese for soul slayer) is a sword the shinigami (japanese for death god) carry to harvest the souls of the lost.

holy stripes batman! This story rendered a ton of comments. I echo what has already been said. I like the internal thoughts, and the shift therein. I totally got the spelling errors to illustrate the slow movement.. Very cool idea. You really get a sense of this story. It almost plays out in the back of your head.
