I felt tears come to my eyes as I looked down at Nick. This wasn’t how I expected the new year to begin. He was hooked up to at least ten machines and that just made me feel worse.
“Hi,” I said, quietly. I had no clue what was coming. What ever it was, I knew I was going to end up crying.
“Hi,” Nick said. He looked as if he were going to cry.
“Look before you say anything, I just want you to know, I was an idiot for leaving and I’m really sorry,”.
“You, sorry?” asked nick, wiping his eyes.
“Yes, really sorry.”
“I should be the one who’s sorry. When I said music comes first and I didn’t care, I was just being a jerk. I don’t know why I was acting like that.” I nodded. Tears were running down my cheeks. I was super sad about what had happened but I was happy, too. I knew everything was going to be okay.
“So, do you still want to break up with me?” I asked. Nick turned pale and stood up.
“You want to break up?!?”
“No, do you?”
“Of course not!” nick got up and kissed me on the cheek.
