Bay Gelding

Amy lifted her head, tucking a loose strand of brwon hair behind her ear, tapping her pen on the notepad in front of her. She looked out her bedroom window starring down at the pasture below, a bay gelding stood eating, swashing a fly with his tail.
She smiled and stood from her chair, walking to her door and running down the steps to the front foor.
“Amy! Don’t even think about walking through that door if your homework isn’t done.” Her mom walked into the front hallway, stopping at the entryway and crossing her arms.
“Don’t worry mom, homeworks done.” Amy smiled reasurringly.
Amy’s mother smiled uncrossing her arms and shaking her head, walking back into the kitchen.
Amy smiled and opened the door, immediately upon clossing the door she began a full run to his pasture.
She whistled long and low, “come here boy!” A loud whinney was her answer and then the bay gelding came charging toward the gate.
