As Good As Gold
Sassy laughed wryly. “Yeah, that sounds like Paul.”
Then she put a hand on Becca’s shoulder and looked her right in the eye. “I want to apologize for acting like such a git. I was worried that our friendship was falling apart and I just went crazy. To prove it to you, I’m going to help you patch things up with Jameson.”
“Nah, it’s too late. Besides, he’s into that Indian girl, Prandi, now.”
“Just leave it to me. Soon Jameson will be pulling a Paul and won’t be able to remember Prandi’s name. He’ll be too busy saying yours.”

Sassy’s promise was as good as gold. The next day, Becca awoke to loud knocks on the door. She peered at the alarm clock next to her bed. It was just after 1 PM. Wow, I never sleep this late, she thought to herself as she belted her robe over her pj’s.
“Coming!” she called as another round of knocks sounded. She opened the door, wondering where Sassy was and why she didn’t answer the door – then all thought promptly left her head.
“Um, hi, Jameson. What are you doing here?”
