Out of no where my phone rang. Maybe it would be Katie. No, it was Joe.
“Hello?” I answered with a groggy voice. I knew he would be able to tell I was crying.
“Hi, can we talk?” he asked.
“Is it about Nick?”
“Well, sort of, but…”.
“Yeah?”
“Katie broke up with me so she could date Nick,”. My jaw dropped. Everyone was turning into idiots!
“Are you serious?”
“Yes,”.
“I’m sorry,”.
“I guess we’ll get through this together,”.
“What do you mean?”
“Nick broke up with you, right?”
“Yeah….why?”
“I don’t know…..I think he just needed a break, I think he was stressed about going on tour and he took his…..I don’t know…anger out on you?” Was it really true? I had no clue. But I had to find out.
