“This isn’t exactly funny.”
“So he doesn’t know that our kid is stuck at your mom’s house since you ran away?”
“No, he doesn’t know that.”
“So what did you decide to name our kid anyway?” Lance said lightly.
Anna didn’t answer him.
Lance shook his head, “Well anyway, your mama is suffering down there from that kid. She ain’t got that much money to live on, and when you just left, that cut in on her job. And you left her with a 3 year old boy!”
“How do you know about any of this? What business of it is yours anyhow? Why are suddenly back in my life? You can’t just get your satisfaction and leave the poor victim alone?!” Anna had stood up and she stomped out of the building. Lance was quickly behind her, and once outside he pinned her against the brick wall.
“Now you listen here girl-”
“NO! No you listen! I’ve been putting up with you for four years! I’m tired of you! Just leave me alone!” Anna slapped him across the cheek and walked away.
