Kira had been out all morning gathering crickets and worms for his new best friend. When he entered the hut he almost fell out of his clothes when he saw how large the dragon had grown over night.
“You must weigh five lbs little guy?”
“You must weigh five lbs little guy?” The dragon repeated.
“No you weigh five lbs.”
“No you weigh five lbs.” The dragon mimicked.
Kira shook his head as he realized the conversation was going nowhere.
“My name is Kira you can call me Kie like Nana does”
For the second time that morning the boy almost fell over when the dragon said,
“My name is Marduke but you can call me Marduke.
Are you my Nana ?”
