I totally remember that feeling, and the coy way we’d always try to talk about it while at the same time avoid talking about it. Though we didn’t have phones back when I was a kid, all notes were passed via Pony Express.
Very fun, and I loved that you switched POVs here. I think her reaction to it after the fact is a more interesting read than his, as we got an idea of his feelings in the prequel.

I like how you took it from her POV , it makes a perfect accompaniment to the prequel!
