Me and JB 162
I starred at myself in the mirror. I couldn’t believe what I saw. When my mother brought home my prom dress, I loved it, but I thought I would look horrible in it. The dress was amazing but I wasn’t that close. But I actually looked pretty good. It was a red, long, strapless, dress that I thought I would look terrible in. But, I guess I was wrong, as usual.
Next thing I knew, there was a knock on my door.
“Come in,” I yelped. It was Joe in his tux. He didn’t look too bad. I didn’t even want to compare him to what Nick was going to look like.
“Hey, Jess,” he said, starring at me.
“Hey, Joe,”.
“You look great!” I started to blush. I hoped it was part of the “act”.
“Thanks, you too,”. Joe and I hooked arms and walked down stairs. Thank god my mother and my father weren’t home to snap photos. First of all, it would of been plainly embarrassing but I wouldn’t be with the one I truly wanted to be with.
