I stopped dead in my tracks and closed my eyes. Who the heck was it? I didn’t feel like saying anything or doing anything, so, I just headed back to the school. I was drenched and was probably going to have to go home now. I felt a hand on my shoulder and I whipped around. It was Nick? Oh great.
“What?” I asked. “I think Katie’s calling you,”.
“You know why I went to prom with Katie, please just stop pretending,”.
“What do you mean? You went to prom with Katie because you like her, I get it. And now your heartbroken because she’s back with your brother,”.
