Hopefully I Made "More Ways Than One"s Day [Make Someone's Day Challenge]
I decided to participate in John Perkins’ challenge, and followed his link to select a story that had no sequels and no ratings: a ficlet simply entitled “Blur” by “More Ways Than One” (http://ficlets.com/stories/30012)
It is a simple entreaty to slow down and enjoy life, with no identifiable characters. It appears inspired by a blurred photograph.
But I read it a different way. To me, it was a conversation. A plea from a dying woman for her would-be hero to slow down. To spend the last moments of her life with her rather than trying to save her.
My sequel takes the story in a whole different direction.
