The Primal Beyond. Pt4
“No!” Paranoid Patty shouted, “It’s best you stay where you are. No sense in making matters worse!” she said.
In my mind’s eye, I could sense James rolling his eyes, “Would you listen to yourself!?” his voice, a low, rolling vibration, “Listen to me, boy! There’s no life while living in fear.”
I was not alone.
“I have to go,” i told them.
“Where are you going?” Patty whined.
I ignored them. Mom was here. And Aunt Rachel, too. I could smell her. Sickly dying roses, piled on thick over aging skin.
“My poor Lewis. He looks pale, Linda,” Her hand touched my face. The stench was overpowering.
“Oh my!”
“What is it,” said my mother.
“He moved. He made a face.” Rachel said excitedly.
“He does that with Chris, too. ”
“Where is that boy anyway?”
“Bringing Molly. ”
“That dear dear girl!” aunt Rachel said, “I’d always thought she and Lewis would marry one day. Now it seems Chris has shown a shining to her.”
He’d hurt her! Crushing fear!!!
“Maybe Lewis wants it that way!?” Mom said.
NO, MOM . I don’t!
