As I was talking to Rose and her very wise friend Raquel, I was still on the phone with Candi.

“Come onnn Tyler! Tell me why you’re so happy already!”
I grinned, wondering if I should keep her waiting any longer, then decided to give in.
“Ok…”
“Yes!”
“Haha, alright. Well, there’s this girl…”
“Uh oh!!! What’s been goin’ on, lil boy? hmmmm?”
Candi could always make me laugh, even when I was depressed.
“Oh hush! I met her over ficlets, and we started talking…”
“and??” she pushed eagerly.
”...and I kinda fell for her.”
“awwww! how sweet! Does she live around here?”
“Er, she actually lives in West Virginia…”
“Really? Dang… You know, I had a boyfriend who lived in Kansas once… he’d come down each summer to visit, but it didn’t end too well…”
“But I don’t think I’ll be able to see her any time soon…”
“Well… do you have really strong feelings for this girl?”
