Chapter 2
When Kylie woke up, she wasn’t in the woods anymore. All she saw was bark off of trees all around a bed-like thing she was laying on. It too was covered in this soft bark. All around her, outside of the bark, she could hear little voices chattering in another langauge.
She got out of bed and pulled aside the bark curtain. The little voices were coming from little elves! Then she saw the boy. He looked 13 or 14, about 2 years older than herself. He had ear length brown hair and hazel eyes, and a warm voice that said, “My name is Kevin. Yours is…”
“My name is Kylie. How did I get here? I mean, I was in the woods when-”
“Shh. We gave you a sleeping spell. It has not quite worn off yet. You need to just sleep. We can discuss your frets when you are fully awake. Just sleep now, sleep.”
The last thing Kylie felt was the impact of her falling into strong arms. Her last thought was “Kevin…”
