We Have A Runner
The car stopped suddenly and Jameson reached for the handle. The door didn’t budge. He flipped the lock. Grabbed the handle again, frowning.
“You didn’t think it would be that easy did ya,” Sassy said. “Child security locks. You aren’t going anywhere, brokeback.“
Paul chortled. “She’s got a point, risky biscuits. Unless you’re willing to bust through the window, you’d better get used to your surroundings.”
Jameson’s feet crashed through the glass before Paul had time to regret his choice of words.
“I just got those windows tinted!” Paul screamed as Jameson slid through the broken window and ran off as fast as his legs could take him. “You’re dead if I catch you! Dead!“
Sassy dialed Officer Milo. “We have a runner. Anything you can do?” She paused. “Right. Okay, that will have to do. Thanks so much Milo. By the way, what do you and the wife think of a little triple date this evening? Yeah, that makes sense. We’ll meet up with you at the airport. Thanks a million. You’re a lifesaver.“
