Amethyst Frontiers: Message in a Bottle
On the Amethyst, Frosty looked at Brill and rubbed his forehead.
“What you’re telling me is that our captain and navigator are aboard a ship, skippered by a maniac?”
“I would use ‘delusional’ perhaps,” Brill nodded but shrugged, “We don’t even know if he’s still alive.”
“I hope you’re right, Major. I know you were hitching a ride with us, but your help is appreciated,”
“Anytime,”
“Lucy?” Frosty called.
“Runner1 has docked with the Karama” she reported
“Excellent!” Frosbeld hushed over the comms-officer, “If we needed to get a message to them, how would we do that?”
“Is there something wrong?” Lucy asked, worry creasing her brown eyes.
With a sigh, Frosty deflected her query, “If we want to get a message to the Karama, how would you do it?”
“I’m not much of an authority on Phasing, but if i was to attempt anything, I’d tether a hard comm-line into a probe and launch it at the Karama,”
“How long would it take for you to assist Engineer Kosta with that?”
“With his help, an hour,”
“Get on it!”
