Amethyst Frontiers: The Captain's Chair

Frosty punched the engineering comm-button on the console,
“Lucy, Ethan. What’s the word?”
Back in engineering, Ethan clicked the comm-key, “We’re almost done down here, Commander,”
Lucy put in, “There’s no guarrantees this will work, Frosty,”
“I hear you, Lu,” Frosbeld said, “I need to talk to our captain, pronto, so hook me up!”
“Will do, Engineering out,”
Brill came to stand next to Frosbeld as he took the captain’s chair.
“Looks good on you,” Brill said about the chair.
Frosty smiled and remained humble, “It’s not mine. I’m perfectly happy to serve the little captain who’s built this ship from bolt to Ion canon!”
“You can’t stay in her shadow forever,”
“No?” frosty looked up at the amazonian woman, “and why not?”
Brill was about to continue when the bridge door swished open,
“We’re ready to launch probe,” Lucy said sitting in her chair. With a few taps of her console, she looked up,
“Awaiting orders, Commander.”
Frosty stood over Lucy, and shrugged, “Ok, let’s see if this will work. Launch when ready!”
