Par-tay Time!
“Whatever.” I laughed. Mara looked rediculous, but that was her deal. I at least got her clean.
She linked her arm through mine as we headed for the door. I could tell she was glad to be clean again.
We got back in the car and took off. It wasn’t a long drive and that was nice, I hated driving long distances to the good parties.
“Yo, we’re here!” I said, nudging Mara who was completely oblivious to the world.
“Wha, huh?” She looked like a deer in headlights for a moment, which had me cracking up!
We got out of the car and walked up to the door in step. For as much as Mara hated parties, she could certainly act her part!
When we got in the house, we flashed our twin ‘we are way to good for you’ smiles and floated past the jealous stares. It was all stuff we were used to.
“Remind me why making everyone around us utterly jealous is fun!” Mara whispered to me through her flawless smile.
I didn’t answer and just laughed as we entered another room.
