As soon as things got better
They just had to get worse
The road of life, I’m traveling on
Has loads of twists and turns

I think I’m getting lost
In the middle of the street
My heart, it’s racing
To an un-steady beat

So I guess I’ll get on my way
But I’m nowhere to be found
I’m screaming on the inside
But I’m not making any sound

I know I’ll find my way
It may not be any time near
But I know people who love me
Will always be right here

The days seem long
And the nights seem cold
Your dreams can come true
Many times, I’ve been told

Try your hardest
And always do your best
Don’t ever quit and never give up
There isn’t any time to take a rest

So I’ll try to make things better
It’s going to cause a lot of stress
But I know I’ll find my way
Out of this stupid, sticky mess

Your more than forgiven
But my trust has to be earned
And I hope your seeing clearly now
This is just another lesson learned
