An amazing adventure
He hadn’t slept in a week. The case wasn’t so simple as it seems.
He was employed to track a missing person. The woman, her client, knew exactly how to catch his attention. He had seen her only once, at the beginning of his little adventure, how he still liked to call it. Closing his eyes, he could still picture her, a pretty, yet sad, blonde in a red dress.
She gave him the address of a motel, not too far, her number, and a list of people who had last seen his husband.
He met several people there, each one of them connected to his investigations. Sometime, the detective called the woman, sharing with her his discoveries. Did she know of the debts that undermined their luxurious lifestyle? Did she already know that that hotel could hide a second life for him?
Every step closer to the truth, filled the detective with pride, and even more. He could speak to her, maybe more, but…
“Richard, dinner is served!”
“One more page, mom!”
Richard closed the book. Maybe, he’ll be seeing her later that night.
