Wemindji
November 8, 2008
My family and I departed the rest stop at 7:30 in the morning, and we started going west toward Weminji, one of the westernmost cities in Quebec. By ten at night, we made it to Weminji and slept there for the night at a cheap hotel. All of the news headlines were talking about the unnaturally fast spread of the disease throughout the US.
“Well as you can see here,” said the Canadian new reporter pointing to a digital map, “the disease is heading West, with a growing fervor. Current estimations suggest that the disease is fatal after 3 days of being inside the body. The US Congressional members have voted, and a countrywide State of Emergency is now in affect for America.”
I shut the TV off and went to bed, I just wanted to get some decent sleep for the even longer drive tomorrow.
