Reflect My Heart (Part 10)

“I’ve been stuck here. Invisible to all except when they look in a mirror. But I tend to not show myself. I stay here, in my house, alone,” he said, still not sounding as sad as he should be.
“I’m so sorry…” Caitlyn whispered. He shrugged, “It was my own undoing,” he said, as he sat back down in the same chair she was in.
They sat there looking at each other. She supposed he was quite handsome.
He had shaggy sandy-blonde hair that hung low, almost in his eyes. And his eyes! They were the most gorgeous shade of green. Not too dark, but not piercingly bright either.
“So can you see people? Like without a mirror?” she finally asked. He smiled and nodded. “Yeah. I’m like a ghost. I’m sitting where you are right now. It’s just mirrors are the only way people can see ME. I’m kind of invisible unless I get reflected on some shiny surface.”
“So nobody murdered you then?” he laughed again. “I’m here. In ways. Just not physically. But, no. Technically not.”
Caitlyn shook her head at him. How could he be so CALM ?
