Amethyst Frontier: Trial Without Peers pt1

“Captain?” said the security man.
Locke looked up, “Where are you going to take us?”
“Captain Vargus has asked that I escort you to his Read-Room,” the young man said.
“What about The Grenna?”
“They will stay,”
Bael walked forward, “Take me, I can help.”
“Those are not my orders,”
“Orders?” Jim Morris was at his wits end, “These guys can get us out of this mess.”
“Follow me please,” the security man would not budge, and walked out of the brig, waiting for them in the corridor.
Eventually, the Amethyst away-party followed.

A door swooshed open, and Vargus stood with a glass in his hand. Sipping from it he smiled, “Ah, Captain Locke, Doctor? And Commander.. please sit!”
“Where is it, Vagus?” Locke was blunt.
“What are you talking about?”
“The Oxyriophine. Where is it?”
“I should be asking you why your ship has seen fit to launch a probe into my hull!!” Vargus slammed his fist down, “You are from the Syndicate, aren’t you?”
“What is ‘The Syndicate’?” Morris asked.
“You’re after the Centrifuge!”
