Sangsue- part 13
I knew things had really changed for the worst when I was driving through the town to run to Wal-Mart and I was stopped by this line starting at this unusual building. And in the line were humans like me! My first thought was that I wasn’t alone. The next, what were they waiting in line for? I got out of my car and walked along the line until I found someone I knew, “Christian, what are you all waiting in line for?” He turned to look at me and I breathed a sigh of happiness when I saw his eyes were the same brown, “We’re waiting in line to join.”
“Join what?” I was a bit giddy for finding another human.
“Uh, join the Sangsue moron.” I froze at the sound of that name, face hardening, “Sangsue?”
“Yeah, they’re accepting members now.” What? I was thinking. Now this is sounding like some innocent book club. “Uhh, don’t you know you can die from them trying to ‘change’ you,” I lifelessly asked. Christian cocked his head to the side, “Die? What are you talking about?”
I was expecting that reaction.
