In honor of 999 comments, I’d like to present to all of you a challenge.

This may require some thinking, so polish off that thinking cap and put it on tight!

Everyone knows what a metaphor is, right?

Especially all you poets out there.

So now your challenge is to write one ficlet, and that’s the maximum and the minimum length, that is a metaphor for something else.

In other words, the ficlet as a whole is to stand for something else entirely. (Also called an allegory.)

There’s a lot of possibilities, but it may take some mental searching to find one!

Judging will probably be around the 13th of September, if school doesn’t keep me completely busy!

So put those thinking caps on, and start ficleting!
