Amethyst Frontiers: Homecoming

Locke spied Frosty’s face, filled with relief and Laura’s dark face smiling, no doubt gushing over the alien.
“Welcome home, Cap,” frosty invited.
“nice to be home. status?”
“She’s not pretty, sir, I must admit!” Frosty said, “engines are cooked.” his head bobbed regretably, “Frankly, everything on her is cooked, but Kosta is working on the engines.”
“The Karama?” Locke wondered.
“Gone.”
Bael nodded, “We were successful. Your determination astounds us, Captain,”
“Thank you!” smiled Trianna Locke.
A groggy russian tripped out of the shuttled. “Never again!” he said.
Morris followed him, “Don’t be such a complainer, Kar. A man like you complaining over Hiber-sickness?”
Karapanov jabbed a finger in the doc’s shoulder, “Never again!”
Frosty laughed, “Lucy took a good conked on the noggin, you’re free to join her,”
“Not a chance, tavarish, with my luck you probably blew every nav-comp on the bridge.” to the captain, “With your permission…”
“Go. Fix my ship!”
“Let’s see the bridge,” Locke said.
