To Remember Me
I pulled back and looked at Tyler. I kissed his nose and smiled softely at him.
“Then, I guess I’ll have to deal now won’t I? I’ll go home, cry and scream about it to Raquel, and then get over it…” I told him, shrugging. “It’s all I can do.”
“I won’t hurt you Rose… I can’t. I promise you, and I got you something for you to remember me once we…” He said standing up and leave the end of the sentence hanging, neither of us wanted to think about the inevitable seperation.
I watched him walk to his suitcase and pull out a small grey box with a blue bow on it.
“For you sweetie.” He whispered, sitting down and pulling me into his lap so I could open his gift.
I undid the ribbon on the box and opened it, reavaling a silver necklace and a red rose charm on the end.
“It’s gorgerous!” I exclaimed, taking it out of it’s box. “Help me?” I asked, handing him my necklace and moving my hair aside for him.
“I’m glad you like it.” Tyler smiled, and clasped my necklace around my neck.
