Bingo!

Yeah, that night marked the end of Diane and I as friends. I hated her from then onwards. Amazing what ignorance does to people…little did I know what was going to happen next.

Blaire sat in the cabin of the yacht, surrounded by sopping wet guests; she was in no better condition, but the Kahlua she was sipping calmed her frayed nerves.

“Blaire, was it?” Tray asked, sitting next to her and wringing the moisture out of his black hair.

“Yeah,” she replied quietly, putting the drink in her lap and leaning back on the couch.

“You don’t like Diane that much, do you?”

“We used to be friends,” Blaire shrugged. “And then she found out that she inherited her family’s fortune. She changed after.”

“Oh…”

“If that’s all you have to say, you can wind yourself up and go away,” she said, closing her eyes.

“And I can’t say you like me, either.”

“You get an A-plus, sonny boy,” Blaire chirped, smiling brightly.

“Sarcasm isn’t attractive in a woman.”

“Who said I want to be attractive?”
